Fairfax Media has launched Kin Community Australia as the country’s premier multi-platform network for women’s home-related content and brands. The site is the local extension of the global media company Kin Community.
Founded in 2007, Kin Community uses short-form video delivered by content creators via social media channels such as YouTube, to inspire and inform young women around the world with home-focused content spanning food, home and DIY categories.
A special launch event was held in Sydney this week to mark the occasion and celebrate a strong bench of content creator talent including Ann Reardon of How to Cook That and Andy and Sonia from popular channel AndymetSonia.
“Kin Community Australia is off to flying start having secured a strong bench of highly-popular lifestyle content creators who have deeply-engaged audiences,” Allure Media CEO Jason Scott said.
“Our growing network of creator talent provides a powerful platform to deliver world-class marketing solutions for brands and advertisers – with endless opportunities to collaborate in delivering quality content from many of Australia and New Zealand’s best creators.”
Kin Community’s global network has more than 120 leading lifestyle content creators and attracts more than 170 million social followers and delivering in excess of 600 million video views a month, with a creator community that includes Rosanna Pansino, Hannah Hart, Jenn Im, Lauren Riihimaki and Rachel and Byron Talbott.
In July, Allure Media participated in a funding round aimed at accelerating Kin Community’s global growth and is the exclusive media partner for Kin in Australia and New Zealand.
“This is a very exciting time for Kin as we expand further into the global marketplace in partnership with Allure Media and continue our mission to inspire and inform generations through our extraordinary content and creator community,” added Kin CEO, Michael Wayne.
